Each year, on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving, people around the country observe Giving Tuesday. Begun in 2012, Giving Tuesday was created for the purposes of combatting the commercialism of the previous Black Friday.
On this Giving Tuesday, we are presenting our congregation and community ways that they can participate in the spirit of the day by supporting FPC ministries.
Help a Child Attend Vacation Bible School

Each summer, hundreds of children spend a week with us at FPC learning about Jesus, singing, playing, and making friends. We treasure the VBS weeks that we spend with these children. The church charges a nominal fee, and we would love for you to sponsor a child (or several, as you are able). Donated funds will be given as scholarships to students who might not be able to afford to attend otherwise. VBS is $30 per child, but we encourage you to give whatever amount you are able.
Help a Student Attend Montreat

Our Surrender Youth Worship Team attends the Presbyterian Association of Musicians Worship and Music Conference in Montreat, NC, each summer. Students have a $1,000 expense to attend (fundraisers throughout the year assist in reducing this amount for the students). We would love for you to donate to help these students continue their musical education. Any donation is appreciated.
Help Fund Night to Shine
Night to Shine has been a blessing to our congregation and community through the years. There is no cost for the VIPs attending the prom, and there is no line item for Night to Shine in the FPC budget. This is a unique event with its own funding stream. Any donation will go directly to making Night to Shine possible.
We also invite you to support Night to Shine as either a Buddy or Support Volunteer. Night to Shine is possible thanks to donors and volunteers like you.
Help Send CYA to Thrive Convention
One of the fastest growing ministries of FPC is the ReIgnite College and Young Adult Ministry (CYA). College students and young adults are growing in their faith in this ministry and are looking forward to the Thrive Convention in January. The fee for this event is $125 per person, plus travel. While that might not see like a huge amount, to these individuals who are often working with a tight budget, it can be daunting. All support will be greatly appreciated.
Every donation matters. Thank you for your prayerful consideration.
