Organ Console Dedication Concert

This concert is provided with thanks and appreciation to all those who contributed to the Organ Restoration Fund at FPC Lakeland.

Reformation Sunday

Sunday, October 31, 2021, is Reformation Sunday. This will be exactly 504 years after the Protestant Reformation began on October 31, 1517. The last Sunday in October is a day many churches set aside to commemorate the start of the Reformation.

Life Transitions

Life would be boring if everything stayed the same all the time. But change—changing jobs, relationships, locations, life stages—requires us to adapt, and that can be stressful. How can we, with God’s help, transition well?

Peculiar Pipes

Join us this Halloween for a spooktacular concert presented by our organist Thomas Ingui. The program will feature a variety of classical music ranging from whimsical to dramatic both on organ and piano.

Costumes and Candy

You’re invited to this year’s spooktacular evening of fun on FPC’s front lawn.

Lord, Teach Us to Pray… (Part 2)

The Lord’s Prayer can be an incredibly rich resource to focus our prayers beyond ourselves. In addition, praying though the Lord’s Prayer keeps the distractions at bay.

Lord, Teach Us to Pray (Part 1)

Jesus’ closest followers were taught so much from him. He taught about the Law, the Kingdom of God, love, trusting the Lord, and on and on, but the disciples only asked him to teach one thing: In Luke 11:1 they ask, “Lord, teach us to pray.”

Hope in the Face of Trauma

If our hope is rooted and grounded in God, our hope is based on a track record of grace and resurrection. Jesus reminds us that God cares for the birds of the air, but his care for us is much greater.
