Our staff is led by our team of four Pastors.

Pastor/Head of Staff: Dr. John B. (Mike) Loudon
Mike, as he is known by those in the church and community, is a native of Western Pennsylvania, and graduated from Westminster College (New Wilmington, PA). He earned his Master of Divinity degree at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary (S. Hamilton, MA), and his Doctor of Ministry degree at McCormick Theological Seminary (Chicago, IL).

Mike began his ministry working at the rescue mission in his hometown during his high school and early college years, and served as student assistant pastor of his home church (Glen-Moore Presbyterian) during his later college years. He served as student pastor of the Congregational Church of West Newbury, MA during his seminary years. In the past thirty-five years he has served as pastor of the Wurtemburg and Ellport Presbyterian Parish in Ellwood City, PA (four years). the Highland Presbyterian Church of New Castle, PA (ten years), The Eastridge Presbyterian Church of Lincoln, NE (twelve years), and has been Head of Staff at The First Presbyterian Church of Lakeland, FL since 1999.

In addition to his pastoral responsibilities, Mike has served on numerous presbytery, synod, and General Assembly committees in the Presbyterian Church, USA, as well as many community and civic boards. he has been a member of Rotary International for the past 30 years, and presently serves on the national board of Presbyterians For Renewal, and is the Imperial Chaplain of the Shriners fraternity.

Mike and his wife, Joyce, have been married since 1970 and have three children and seven grandchildren. Mike enjoys golfing, swimming, cycling, walking, reading, antique automobiles, and following college and professional sports. he especially enjoys cheering for the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Nebraska Cornhuskers.

Associate Pastor of Congregational Development: Rev. Craig Sumey
He is a graduate of Baker College (Kansas), and Princeton Theological Seminary. He served as the associate pastor of the First Presbyterian Church of Atchison, Kansas, and as Interim Associate Minister of Evangelism of the large Prairie Village Church, and for four years as the Pastor of the 250 member Good Shepherd Presbyterian Church of Lincoln, Nebraska where he guided that new congregation in building their first building.

He works with our evangelism program, new member assimilation program, small group development ministry, and the outreach and mission ministry of the church. Therefore, he wears a number of different hats. He works with both the Evangelism Committee and the Outreach Committee. He founded our FaithBuilders Sunday School Class. He also oversees the ministry of our new “Vine” emerging worship community. Craig is married to Lynn who is a preschool teacher. They have two children.

Cecelia MooreAssociate Pastor for Pastoral Care and Christian Education: Rev. Cecelia Moore
Mrs. Moore is a graduate of Auburn University (Alabama) with a bachelor of science in education and holds a Juris Doctorate degree from Stetson University College of Law. Cecelia practiced law for a number of years and served as a Circuit Judge for the Tenth Judicial Circuit of Florida.

She served as an Elder at First Presbyterian Lakeland and joined that staff as full time Director of Christian Education in 2002. She became a Certified Christian Educator and thereafter earned her Master of Divinity degree at Asbury Theological Seminary and was ordained as Minister of Word and Sacrament in June 2009.

Cecelia works in the adult education area overseeing adult Sunday School classes, the mid-week Institute program, WOW women's’ studies groups, Presbyterian Women and helps with various small groups studies programs. She is a Stephen Minister and recently chaired our Read The Bible in 90 Days church-wide program. Additionally she oversees our church library and the FPC Book Club. She oversees the Youth ministries program and the confirmation classes as well as the college scholarship program and the seminarian support funding. In the area of children's ministries, she oversees all children’s programs including the Little Shepherds Pre-School, Sunday school classes, the mid-week Kids Klub program, the Sunday morning Kids, Etc.childrens worship program, Third Grade Bibles studies, Vacation Bible School. Advent Workshop, Fall Fair and children’s missions programs.

She directs the Activities Committee for the congregation and helps with their activities including Spring Picnic, Easter Egg Hunt, and skating parties. She works with our Adult Growth Committee, Children’s Ministries Committee, and Activities Committee and with the Christian Education Council. She is available to assist in leading worship and in other areas of ministry. Cecelia was married to the late Dr. John C. Moore for over 30 years and they have three children and seven grandchildren.
